Mitch McConnell: No Vote on DREAM Act Unless Government Gives Free Money to the Millionaires

In the midst of our current budget deficits and even ignoring the calls from some patriotic millionaires to put country before greed, Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has rallied the rest of his Republican caucus in the Senate to demand that unless the Senate extends the giveaways to all millionaires by exempting them from paying their fair share of taxes, a vote on any other piece of legislation, like the DREAM Act, will be blocked.  Rep. Luis Gutierrez tried to show some optimism when he joined the Ed Schultz show to discuss this latest development:

We can’t allow politicians to, once again, put corporate greed above the American dream.  It’s time to tell them: “support the American DREAM for our youth, NOT unpatriotic millionaires that want to be exempted from paying their fair share of taxes that we need to pull our economy out of the current recession”; send a fax to this targeted list of Senators by clicking here.
